Midleton is about 22 km east of Cork on the N25, around twenty-five minutes. The distillery sits on the edge of the town. The standard Midleton Distillery Experience is a guided tour of about 75 minutes, ending with a drink; a fuller tasting flight adds roughly half an hour. Allow about two hours on site with the shop. The rest of the four hours goes on the drive and a stop in Midleton town for lunch or coffee.
Booking the tour
Tour entry is timed and booked ahead, and summer slots fill early. Tour sizes are capped, so a large party may be split across back-to-back tours; the vehicle's arrival time follows the first slot. Weekday mornings are quieter than weekend afternoons, when coach groups arrive. Vehicles offered run from a 7-seat executive van to a 16 to 19-seat minibus.
