Getting there and the order of stops
Cobh is about 24 km east of Cork, roughly 25 to 30 minutes on the N25 and the road past Fota onto Great Island. Titanic Experience Cobh is in the old White Star Line building on the seafront, where the last passengers boarded the tenders. Book that first, then plan the rest around it. The Cobh Heritage Centre, with the Queenstown Story exhibition on emigration, is in the restored Victorian railway station at Deepwater Quay, a short walk along the front.
Time on site
Titanic Experience Cobh advises at least an hour: about 40 minutes with a guide, then a self-guided exhibition. Tours start every 15 minutes in summer and every 30 in winter. Arrive 15 minutes before your slot, because tours leave on time. Give the Heritage Centre an hour or more; it opens daily from 9.30am with last admission at 4.30pm. St Colman's Cathedral stands above the town, and the Deck of Cards terrace on West View climbs the hill below it.
Hills, ship days and vehicle size
Cobh is built up a steep slope. West View is a hard walk, so the coach can take less mobile passengers up to the cathedral while others walk. The town is busiest on cruise ship days, as the cruise berth sits directly opposite the railway station; check the port's schedule before choosing a date. Smaller vehicles, from a 7-seat executive van to a 29-seat midi coach, suit the narrow streets. The driver confirms where to set down.
Should we book Titanic Experience Cobh in advance?
Yes. The attraction strongly recommends booking a time slot, especially in summer, and has a group booking line. Walk-in tickets depend on space on the day.
Can we add Spike Island or Fota to the day?
Both are close by. Spike Island needs its own ferry booking from the Cobh waterfront; Fota Wildlife Park is on the way. Either turns the half day into a longer one.
