Wexford to Dublin by Coach or Minibus
Wexford to Dublin is about 150 km and about two hours by coach, nearly all of it on the M11 up the east coast. Groups make this run for flights, matches, concerts and school trips. The last few kilometres decide how long it really takes.

North on the N11 and M11
From Wexford the N11 runs as single carriageway as far as Oilgate. From there north it is dual carriageway or motorway: the M11 bypasses Enniscorthy, Gorey and Arklow and continues past Rathnew and Ashford, through the Glen of the Downs and past Bray. There are no tolls on the M11. It meets the M50 on the southern edge of Dublin. Gorey Service Area, about halfway, is the usual place for a comfort stop.
The Wexford end
For a pickup in Wexford town, the narrow streets behind the Quay are awkward for a full-size coach. Groups often gather at a hotel, or at a point the driver confirms near the Quay or O'Hanrahan Station. For an early flight, allow for the slower single-carriageway stretch out of Wexford before the dual carriageway starts at Oilgate, and for collecting at more than one point.
Dublin Airport and the M50
For a flight the coach takes the M50 north around the city. Between junctions 7 and 6 it passes the barrier-free toll, where there is no booth and the vehicle is billed by its registration. Drop-off for any coach is on the Terminal 2 Departures Road Inner, next to T2 check-in. Arriving passengers are collected from Zone 16, the airport's coach park for private hire; coaches cannot pick up anywhere else. The M50 is the slowest part of the route at peak times; plan the departure from Wexford around it.
South side into the centre
Bound for the centre, the coach can stay on the N11, which carries on past the M50 through Stillorgan and Donnybrook and never meets the toll. Inside the city, bus gates restrict the quays and College Green, so the driver plans the approach to your set-down. Passengers get off at a signed coach stop (Nassau Street has one); the coach then parks in an on-street coach bay for up to two hours, or at the NTA Docklands Coach Park for longer.
How early should we leave Wexford for a morning flight?
Allow about two hours to the airport with clear roads, plus a margin for the M50 and the airline's check-in deadline. The operator can suggest a pickup time once you send the flight details.
Is the train an option?
The line from Wexford runs to Dublin Connolly in the city centre, with a handful of trains a day. The train does not reach the airport, and a coach also suits a group with luggage or a fixed start time.
