Bray to Powerscourt Estate by Coach or Minibus
Powerscourt Estate is about 20 minutes from Bray, just above the village of Enniskerry. Garden clubs, coach tours, active-retirement groups and wedding parties all use it. The estate is set up for coaches, so the planning is mostly about the narrow approach and whether the group also wants to see the waterfall.

The Enniskerry approach
From Bray the coach goes a short way up the N11 and then west into Enniskerry, climbing through the village to the estate gates on its southern side. The village square and the hill out of it are tight for a large vehicle, especially on a weekend when cars are parked along the road. Drivers take the turns slowly and mind the gate pillars at the estate entrance. That is why the run takes 20 minutes when the distance looks shorter on a map.
At the house and gardens
The estate says coaches can pull up directly outside the entrance to the house and gardens, and it has parking for up to 20 coaches. Groups are welcome without a size limit, but book ahead with the estate to arrange group admission and any guided visit. The restaurant in the house can seat large groups, which makes lunch on site straightforward. Allow at least two hours for the gardens; keen gardeners will use more.
The waterfall is a separate visit
Powerscourt Waterfall is about 6 km from the house, with its own entrance and its own ticket. There is no public transport between the two, so a group that wants both needs the coach to move them. The waterfall site has parking and toilets. Add the transfer time and a second admission to the plan, and check the waterfall's opening hours, which change with the season.
Can a full-size coach reach the house?
Yes. Once through Enniskerry, the estate takes coaches to the house and gardens entrance and has coach parking on site. The narrow part of the trip is the village, not the estate.
Can we see the gardens and the waterfall on one hire?
Yes, if you book them as two stops. The coach takes the group from the house to the waterfall entrance about 6 km away, waits or returns at an agreed time, and then brings everyone back to Bray.
