Killarney to Cork by Coach or Minibus
The N22 links Killarney and Cork directly, crossing from Kerry into County Cork by Ballyvourney and Macroom. Groups use this run to reach Cork Airport, a cruise ship at Cobh, or a day in the city. Each of those ends has its own drop-off rules, so name the exact destination when you book.

The N22 east
The coach leaves Killarney eastward on the N22 and stays on it the whole way. The road crosses the county boundary, passes Ballyvourney and runs on the newer bypass of Macroom, then takes the Ballincollig bypass, which is built to motorway standard, to the N40 South Ring Road at Cork. There is no toll on this line. The run is about 85 to 90 km. Summer traffic around Killarney in the morning and the Cork ring road at commuter times are the usual causes of delay.
Ending at Cork Airport
Cork Airport is on the south side, roughly 8 km from the centre. Hired coaches and minibuses use Bus Bays C and D, in front of the terminal, both to set down and to load. For a departing group, work back from the check-in time and leave room for traffic on the ring road. Cork has more routes than Kerry Airport, which is why some Killarney groups fly in or out of Cork even though it is the longer transfer.
The city and Cobh
For a day in Cork, the English Market sits between Grand Parade and Princes Street in the centre, and the driver confirms a legal set-down nearby. Blarney is about 10 km north-west of the city, so it is a short detour if the group wants the castle on the way in. Ships call at Cobh, a 24 km run east of the city by road. A group joining or leaving a ship there should send the ship name and the all-aboard time, so the coach arrives with margin.
How long should we allow from Killarney to a flight at Cork Airport?
The facts list shows the drive time. Add the airline's check-in window and some spare time for the N40, and give the operator the flight time so the pickup in Killarney is set from it.
Can we stop at Blarney Castle on the way to Cork?
Yes. Blarney lies just north-west of the city, so it fits into the run as a stop of a couple of hours. Book the visit with the castle and tell the operator how long you will spend there.
